With 31 groups over the United States and Canada, the NHL is
the world's chief expert ice hockey alliance. Established in 1917 as a successor to the National Hockey Association (NHA), the National Hockey League
started to take its advanced structure in 1942 with the foundation of the
"First Six" groups,, Toronto Maple Leafs, the Montreal Canadians,
Boston Bruins, Detroit Red Wings, Chicago Black Hawks, and New York Rangers.

History of NHL
The National Hockey League was
established in 1917 in Montreal, Canada. Initially including just
Canadian-based groups, the association fanned out to the United States during
the 1920s. The NHL would experience a significant development again during The 1960s, multiplying from six teams to 12 with the expansion of the Los Angeles
Kings, Philadelphia Flyers, Pittsburgh Penguins, St.
Louis Blues,
Minnesota North Stars and California Seals. The group has kept on extending
since and now includes a sum of 31 groups crosswise over North America.
Twenty-four groups are situated in the US, while seven hail from north of the
fringe. The Canadians have been the most overwhelming establishment in the
alliance through the span of their history, winning a surprising 24 Stanley Cup
Championships.
The Maple Leafs have won 13 Stanley Cups and the Red
Wings 11. The alliance is separated into two gatherings, the Eastern
